And the oscar for best salvage man goes to... That didn't take very long. There's not much you can do with highly publicized, stolen goods, especially when they're barely worth more than scrap metal when melted down.

I don't know what you do with that many, but I'd keep one stashed away for a few years, then put it on my mantle piece with some obscure award - like "Best Supporting Actor In An Independent Short By People Named Steve" or something. In this town, there are plenty of oscars sitting on shelves for awards nobody remembers - I wouldn't mind having one for myself...

Hey wendell - wanna get together to write me a vehicle? It looks like I'm gonna have to earn mine the old fashioned way, by sleeping with every single member of the academy...

Here's your vehicle, CUJoe. I'm too busy working on a Neale Talbot starrer: "Crocodile Grungee".
Oh, and did you notice, TWO of the Oscars (TM AMPAS - as if I gave a ratsass) are still missing? After last Friday's perofmance with Baba Walters, I think the Ramseys have got 'em.

Re: Ramseys. I was transfixed by a photo in Time of them talking to B. Walters. They were...spotless. Mrs. Ramsey made Barbara looks positively frumpy. There wasn't a muscle out of place in her facial expression. Mr. Ramsey was the same way. Creepy as hell.

I wonder if they gave him the $50k reward?

RE: 2 Oscars still missing.
Maybe Jim Carrey grabbed them all, and then only kept the two he felt he deserved. (and so do a lot of people.)
