Sadly these days most of us have traded in our ancient pancake knowledge for instant mixes, or even worse, we've given up our robes all together to search out-there(sic)for what we ought to have in-here(zoom into inside of Alton's robe).

That is just about the greatest pancake recipe of all time. It even lends itself to veganizing with egg replacer and soymilk.

I've tried the recipe many times and even reading it piles on the pounds. Speaking of which, Sudama: what quantities would you recommend? And what sort of calories and carbs are we talking about?

By the way, Good Eats, is the Food Network's best show. It's definately geek cooking when Alton Brown does it. Thanks for that link Miguel.
