I find it ironic that someone as thin-skinned as fraying is making fun of someone else's web presence.

I get a kick out of Shatner, even though his lousy acting makes the old "Star Trek" series painful to watch. He *was* part of the reason the even-numbered "Trek" movies were good. And at least he isn't too proud to make fun of his goofy image. His Priceline.com commercials were funny.
And, um, I actually enjoy his "Star Trek" novels (he said, painting the bullseye on his chest), even though I know he should have just let Kirk stay dead.

i met william shatner when i was really young (no joke.). i remember him walking with my mom and i, in our neighborhood. i didn't know much about start trek then, so when my mom told me he was from that show, i asked if he was spock.
my mom's seen him naked. that's hilarious.
(she was his doctor for a short bit... i can't remember how that worked out.)

Does it bother anyone else that Shatner's bio is nearly seven times longer than any of the iron chefs ? It doesn't even say he gives a rat's ass about food in any way.
At least the Japanese version made an attempt and lied about "Chairman Kaga" being the head of a cullinary institute. Jeez.

Roger Moore was definitely worse. We'd already seen Sean Connery's exceptional performance in a role that was probably fluff even in his mind. Connery was a tough act to follow.
For all we knew back then, Shatner's portrayal of Kirk was just the way to play the role. Actually, comparing Shatner's Kirk to how Scott Bakula's playing Captain Archer now, I prefer Kirk. Shatner gave a sense of urgency to every scene he was in, which helped drive the show. Bakula just looks like he's on vacation. "Oh? Was the camera rolling? I thought it was another rehearsal." Bakula's phoning it in. At least Shatner put some heart into his work. Yeah it was melodramatic as hell, but it was also entertaining.
The website looks promising. I'll probably check it out again in a few months, if nothing more than for a lark. Maybe we'll get some better shots of his daughter. Meowowr!
