Weblog Junior High. Just in case you felt a little left out trying to figure out the pecking order, you'll be happy to know that Mr. Haughey is a jock. I won't even mention the K word.
And here I was going to vote sjc into the 'rebel' section.
That geek.

I thought masturbatory web-scene nostalgia was something that had worked for you in the past, Scott?
Just as you are now and shall ever be Metafilter Parody Guy, poor Neale is now and ever Weblog Junior High Guy. Y'all made your memes, now lie in 'em.

I must note that the 'Sluts' section is NSFW (not safe for work), as I recall from many, many, years ago. *ahem*

Woah. For a second there, I thought I was back in 1999.
What a happy time it was: y2k frenzy was all the rage; Weblogs were still virgin territory; and Kottke was new to me. Ahh, innocence.

I was wondering about the dead@32 guy the other day. Did he make it past 32? His site is gone now...that does not bode well

it was just a ploy to get readers. he tried that and then he got all mad at the community when they didn't flock to his site, as I recall, and became "bitter at 31".
I think he turned out to be that john grohol, the psychologist that is occasionally quoted in articles about weblogs. maybe dead at 32 was a research project or something.
