The trailer for the new Seinfeld movie is the first I've seen which really takes the piss out of the whole trailer "In a time that land forgot.." sort of thing. I laughed, but I download these things from apple every day and then forget about the actual movies. I just know I'm alone...
i had absolutely no urge to see this movie when i first heard about it, but that trailer was pretty excellent.

I saw that last week and I couldn't stop laughing. In the same vein is Movie Trailer Cliche Theater, check it out.

luriete: I, for one, welcome our new robot renegade cop overlords.
That brought a genuine smile to my face. Not a laugh, not a guffaw, just a long warm smile. Thank you.
I join the crowd asking for 90 minutes of following Jack around watching him do trailer v/o. Pablo Francisco could be his stunt double.
I mean, we only hear the ones THEY KEEP! The creme de la creme. Imagine how bad some of them must be...

Maybe not a whole movie, but I think they should make the Jack bit a bit longer, maybe a 10 minute short film for the web? To drive people to the movie's web site.

I think the trailer was perfect at this length. I'm not sure if the movie is going to work, but here's hoping.

the mp3 at Modern Humorist was funny, but went a little overboard on the record scratching.

That's a wonderful trailer. I am certain that the voice is actually the famous Don LaFontaine, and is being lip-synced by the actor. Don has done the voice-over for the trailer of almost every movie released in the last 20 or 25 years.

Well, the guy in the trailer doesn't look like the picture of Don L on the link above, but the voice sure sounds like him.
What I don't get is why go through the trouble of lip synching, etc? Why not just put a camera on the real v/o guy? I mean, he had to be there anyway to record the v/o.... seems terribly inefficient.
Or maybe that is him and the picture is just several years out of date? Grey/thinning hair and a beard could certainly make a difference...
Something not quite clicking with me on this...
And if it is a lip sync job, it's one of the best I've seen. Maybe Jerry thinks lip synching a voice over guy is funny?

I've been using the phrase "You're fired!/I'm fired!" (for instance, when someone double-dips or doesn't put down the toilet seat) for years.
I may not now. Since hearing Jack's version, mine is somehow...lacking.

"When laughter was king! In a land before time! One Man! A renegade robot cop! At an outpost! On the edge of space! A joke! A combination of words leading to a sentence! With an amusing conclusion! When everything you know is wrong! Irony! Satire! Tickle parody with a feather! Against its navel! ...ssssSexy!"
A whole hour and a half with that guy rambling on incessantly while the sound crew tries unsuccessfully to drag him out of the booth. That's what I'd pay eight bucks to see.
