pointless but surprisingly beautiful photos taken using a kite on the northern California coast
I think this is my favorite one. Wish I could do things like this with a camera.

I saw this and remembered a kite photography post I made, thinking it was a few months ago, but it was two years ago. All amazing stuff from these kite photographer guys.

Kite photography and California go back a ways. "San Francisco in Ruins" was taken in 1906 by George Lawrence, who used a kite rig of his own design to capture an image of the city as it looked just after the earthquake.

The trees have points, the shadows have points, even the amusement park ride at Santa Cruz appears to have a point (even if it's only implied). If everything on this site has a point, this post must have one too.
