Star Wars Origami

Star Wars Origami.
It's exactly what it sounds like: square pieces of paper folded in elaborate ways to look like characters and vehicles from the Star Wars epics. Fandom at its quirkiest.

Deeply cute.
And, as expected, there are no representations of George Lucas' humility or Mark Hamill's post-SW career.

I bet the kids trash these in a hurry acting out the Hoth battle scene. But still cool.
Deslizador de nieve - so much more fun to say that "snowspeeder"

When will this Star Wars fad end? I mean, please, people should get on with their lives?
I'm sorry if I offend people engrossed in the Star Wars-stories, but origami? That doesn't even begin to make sense.

I should pass that link on to this friend of mine who loves origami. I forget whether he likes Star Wars or not, but, at worst, I figure he can fold little Yodas then burn them if he hates Star Wars.

I think you have to understand that this is a case of origami enthusiasts (like myself) trying to find new and interesting things to fold, rather than Star Wars fans trying to find new ways to express their fandom and taking up origami.
Whether that makes more sense or less is a judgement call, of course.

It makes more sense. It makes perfect sense.
I'm sorry for my outburst earlier, I guess, in my mind I combined all the different websites with their diverse creative creations from different enthusiastic Star Wars fans into one breed of super-fans, doing everything Star Wars from origami land speeders to full scale millenium falcons. I guess this site was just the last straw. : )
