Anti-Hit List

As its old home lies dormant, John Sakamoto'sAnti-Hit List continues on in the pages of Toronto's Eye Weekly. Where else could you hear about The Flaming Lips covering Kylie, Ween singing for about Pizza Hut or quite possibly the best song title in ages.
It was nice when my band made The Anti-Hit List best of 2000. See if you can guess which one it is...

good to see sakamoto back; when i wrote to him when the anti-hit list left, he was astonished about the feedback he had received and hoped to resurrect the list elsewhere.
too bad eye's site doesn't have any intuitive way to see the full archives once they thrive. (please note that eye and the toronto sun are under the same ownership.) but bring on all the b-sides i won't otherwise know about!

boost ventilator, I'm really glad you posted this. I wish I could be adulatory without coming across as sarcastic.

I was ecstatic when I picked up that copy of Eye a few weeks ago and saw the Anti Hit List had been picked up.
I make it a rule to try to immediatly download every song on the list every thursday afternoon.
(Since i must defend saying "download" and not "purchase", it's generally obscure hard-to-find material, and also acts I've usually never heard of, hence ruling out purchasing)
