Michael Moore at the Oscars. He's an opinionated man. [Windows Media]

What-EVER.
Does anyone really care anymore what these overprivileged clowns have to say?
Why is this even worthy of an FPP?

I agree with what he said, but he sounded like an ass.

And, I think he got the standing O before he started screeching. Again, I agree with him, but he sounded like a dumbass.

And the "Pope and Dixie Chicks" joke wasn't funny, even when it was clarified. And he goes on and on about his book. Dude. Self-promote much?
Again...I agree with what he says, but what an asshole!

I enjoyed the film thoroughly, but I also found this article on the so-called "truth about Bowling for Columbine" at linkfilter interesting as well, if for no other reason than having a perspective from the other side. The Wall Street Journal also ran an opinion piece on the subject a while back. After reading these I feel a little silly for being so taken up in Moore's argument, he certainly created an extremely persuasive argument...too bad more of it couldn't be based on fact.

1) Yawntastic.
2) Already been discussed (too lazy to find the thread).
3) Please don't give Michael Moore any more publicity. He's bloated from the shallow adulation he already receives from the legions of college freshman bimbos who feed his ego.

The standing ovation was for his film, not his comments, the ovation happened while he made his way to the stage and accepted his award, the booing started after he started talking. Susan Sarandon had far more class and still made her point.

I agree with the criticisms of his actions, but I just can't stay mad at a gorgeous set of ta tas like Michael's.

(I think Cold Chef was possibly maybe kinda sorta being intentionally flippant about the shave-and-a-haircut remark. Yes?)

Plus he could lose a few pounds. Oh and a Hollywood trophy-wife would help too. How are we supposed to take unattractive people seriously?
Oh wakey wakey.
