Let's Just Send Suge Knight In To Do It Right! A radio station thought to be backed by the CIA has been broadcasting a gangsta rap-style parody of Saddam Hussein to Iraq.

This is pretty funny.

Don't miss the audio.

BBC has it in via Real Audio here.

And since I am in a good mood today, and I know how many of you here don't like Real, I made it into an mp3.

Wow, the CIA is so hip! ... motherfucker?

I don't know which is worse, my taxes buying missiles, or paying for shitty rap propaganda.

Is this some sort of joke? Urban legand? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I am, yet again, embarassed for our country.

What a shitty rap, too! Please tell me this is a joke.

"What a shitty rap"

Let me try

Saddam got no rhythm, Saddam got no rhyme.
Saddam got no system, Saddam got no time.

Saddam got no blame, he blames it on the name.
Hussein? that quite the same, as the insane game.
I don't need no oil, for my money
I need some foil and some pony
To escape away, and run
Like today, with an unloaded gun
Give me 40 acres and a mule
and maybe a sakkar and a tool

Saddam got no rhythm, Saddam got no rhyme.
Saddam got no system, Saddam got no time.

Saddam got no urges, nothing he wants to kill
Saddam gotta go purging, taking to Dr. Phil
Doing it for himself, he pushes to the brink
Put him on the shelf, drop him in a hot sink
I come from Tikrit, I go to Baghdad
Now I'm in shit and I'm quite mad
Uday? Qusay? where you at-en?
Today? Crazy? I'm a speaking pig latin?

Saddam wanna disappear, go to Argentina soon
Saddam not gonna disappear, gonna get shot under the moon

Am a better rapper than this guy?

Back so soon, Mr. When I'm Wrong, I Admit It?

I have a question for you, Steve:If a MetaFilter member choose to be anonymous on his user page, is it morally right to do so by digging his real life name via internet stalking and then taunting them with it on MetaTalk, you know, like you did in your now-yanked-because-of-it TheJesseHelms Inappropriate Use of An Inline Image post here?

that was poorly worded, to be sure--if a member chooses to be anonymous, is it right for you to reveal their real life name, is more like it.

but you get the drift, Mr. Outie.

"My days are finished and I will die - all I need is chilly fries"

If a reporter at the BBC has no concept of 'chili fries', I doubt it's going to translate culturally in Iraq either.

Or maybe I'm just not down with the lingo... "those are some chilly fries, yo. Fo shizzle, they were downright frigid."

Remember TRQ, the "rapper" at the Republican National Convention a while ago? The guy that said that rap is all about rebellion, so he was going to be different from the other rappers and wear suspenders, a suit and tie? I think he's probably behind this. (The guy looked like Run-CPA.)

I have to admit, I'm disappointed in the rap, too. I was really hoping for something on par with "Ronnie's Rap" (lyrics only) by Ron and the D.C. Crew.

You know, reading about this, I couldn't help but be reminded of those cheesy raps they used to have in school to teach you about math, or avoiding bullies, or drug abuse. Then it got to this line:

"Smokin' Weed and Gettin' High....I know the devil is by my side..."

Ahhh, finally. JUST SAY NO!

More on Radio Tikrit. A few minutes of broadcast here and here (real audio).

Whoops, last link is actually 'Sawt al-Tahrir al-Iraq' (Voice of Iraqi Liberation). More Iraqi shortwave here, via Clandestine Radio (dozens of propaganda stations from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe).
