For the record: Saute Wednesday on MetaFilter (hard to search for because of that little thing over the 'e').
crunchland, you've been acclaimed here for your tight, simple, direct, usually-single-linked posts... If this is what we get when you let yourself go, then, please, do it more often.
BTW, crunchy, did you get eBay's permission to put that lyric on your profile page?
But you're not going to have a complete list of Food Blogs without including what was probably the first one: "Eat Link and Be Merry", created by Jen and Scott Kitchen (their real names), and running from Sept. 2000 to Oct. 2001 (when it apparently drowned in a sea of melted Cheez Whiz). And yes, I did contribute to that collaborative blog (DO NOT click the link at my name... long story).

not to get off track, but one thing I've found about foodie community message boards, like egullet and chowhound ... they all seem to be run by little dictators. I don't know the link between being passionate about food and running a community website, but the people who do seem to do it with iron fists. Don't know why that is ...

Exception that proves the rule and all that, but Andy Lynes (who runs the UK egullet board) is nice as pie.

Don't forget Looka!, Chuck Taggart's weblog, which often covers food (and drink). I've made some of his recipes for Cajun dishes, yum yum.

I like The Jenville Show - she cooks with rock stars. Best recipe:
Jack Black's Dorito Burrito
INGREDIENTS
flour tortilla
cheddar cheese
Doritos
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat tortilla on flame.
2. Place Doritos and cheese on tortilla.
3. Put in Micro until cheese is melted.
4. Roll into burrito.
5. Eat.
I also love Cooking With Bigfoot, probably because he looks so much like a penis.

I like The Julie/Julia Project, in which a woman named Julie cooks every recipe in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking."
And now she got a book deal out of it! Is this the most successful Salon Weblog ever?

If the above glutton of foodblogs leaves you overwhelmed, you can always check out on the pro-anorexia blog (previously discussed on MeFi).

Great post. Of course, now I'm never going to see my wife again. (Though I'll take these over Fametracker any day.)

I actually didn't include that one because it hadn't been updated in awhile. But I see it's been updated, so thanks for fixing my oversight, Dan.

Thanks for sticking up for me Dan. The FoodBlog competition is harsh, don't update for a few weeks and everyone forgets you. :(
My list has already been linked in this post, but Cooking for Losers and 101 cookbooks deserve mentioning.
