Wow. This is actually good stuff! I was expecting some bad attempt at humor, but there's some very nice guitar work going on here.

That's too much fun. Sort of like Hayseed Dixie in that it works disturbingly well.

Around 1000 GMT, homunculus - when it's 0500 on the East Coast and 0200 on the West Coast of the USA; far too early for the hungover British and there's only the sporadic, but friendly, after-lunch company of Aussies, Kiwis and those stationed in Korea, Japan, etc. Very quiet. I hate it.

Didn't Dick Dale due a version of Hava Nagila as well? I recall that one being a much more powerful version than this one. This one seems dull in comparison.
(One day I'm going to write that epic screenplay about a Jewish surfer that the song conjured in my head those years ago...)

Wow, this is cool. : )
Ose Shalom works well too! I want to hear the other songs! They don't do it as far as I see, but I think Ein Keloheinu would be fun to hear in this format!

I downloaded a couple of the songs for free;
this album sounds cool, so I'll buy the CD.
Now about that surfer rabbi, I'll willingly confess
I find Jewish men the sexiest, and I'd...well, I digress

For those that think the concept here is zany or crazy... well, ok, it is a little. But "Misrlou", the song Dick Dale is famous for (think Pulp Fiction) is, as far as I know, and old Greek folk song that is traditionally played by Bouzouki players. So there's some precedent for turning folk songs into surf music.
I like it.

I'd gladly make one of these our signature wedding tune,
but my bud and I got married by Elvis in June!
