When Headlines Go... OVERT? (the surrealist headline generator strikes again)
Well, now it's up to nearly $1200 US, so maybe I spoke too soon. I don't think it would be too hard to integrate this with napster, just add a checkbox next to each mp3 to launch a "pay the artist directly" prompt.

Hm, so would people click on the checkbox right before they download a track or after they have listened to it? In the former case, it seems one could make money via napster bombs. In the latter case, the checkbox would need to be part of the mp3 player and not napster, no?

If the "checkbox" (where checkbox represents the payment method, whatever's used) is voluntary anyway, there's no reason you can't download, then go back and pay.

A few weeks old, with a link posted on slashdot, and it's made $871 US??? Wow, talk about some compensation...
"A few weeks" after napster started, how many copyrighted mp3s had been downloaded, I wonder? Hopefully more exposure will make this site actually work...
