Iraqis Paying 5 Cents a Gallon for Gas. I always wondered how much it cost to keep bulletproof, armored Hummers running.
This post was deleted for the following reason: jesus, I didn't see the original, I swear.
I wanted to do that, namespan. Harumph.

Oh, please Matt, tell us it's a clever joke, or satire, or something, ...
My whole frame of reference is collapsing around me.

From the second, unrepeated link:
We don't intend to go in wholesale. There's no doubt we could clear Fallujah out, but to what end?" asked Col. Larry Brown, an operations officer with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force camped outside the city. "We measure progress in small steps. We prefer to bring them back into the fold slowly. It is a good sign that Iraqis are handling their problems."
"Inevitably, if we went in, there would be a lot of collateral damage. People would defend their homes. We would only go as a last resort," Brown said.
You know, does anyone here ever wonder how this logic didn't prevail before we invaded Iraq?

weston: cause now war is war and peace is peace, before war was peace and peace was war. Also, the elections are coming.
In related news, Matt was found running in circles in a endless loop around his computer. Doctors say it is a rare condition caused by catastrophical logic failure ; as Matt broke the rule, the rule immediately become obsolete, as he makes the rules and has the power to make them obsolete. But Matt being the rulemaker, breaking rules made him the rulebreaker, but if the rule was made obsolete the instant Matt broke it, then Matt become a rulebreaker without effectively breaking rules, because the rule was obsolete. But he can't be rulemaker and breaker at the same time, therefore Matt neither rules nor breaks.
The logical contradiction caused Matt to enter in a logic loop which excuses his doublepost.
