They do sound interesting, but having said that they're probably just a flash in the pan. I can't see anyone bothering with them in the long run. Does anyone here know anything about them? Or perhaps someone here has even tried there hand at 'blogging'? An excellent link plexi, you have dug up something which I think is both novel and which none of us would otherwise have stumbled across.

Over the past five years, blogs have gone from an obscure and, frankly, somewhat nerdy fad to a genuine alternative to mainstream news outlets, a shadow media empire that is rivaling networks and newspapers in power and influence.

All of you falling all over yourself to pretend that Time just now noticed there are blogs, when right there in plain English they state they are not a new phenomenon, is just absurd.

Bloggers are a funny lot. They spend countless man-hours trying to prove if a girl is really a girl or not, and then can't even be bothered to read mainstream coverage of their favorite pastime.

I dunno, rather than gloat about how out of touch the old folks at time are, maybe we she should take this instructively: no matter how much we think of ourselves and what a big deal all the tempest in a teapots we create are, the great mass of the world dosen't know we fucking exist.

iirc, it was the princeton review, really, that first coined the term blog :D
