It looks so good! Oh my God. I just hope Lucas doesn't fuck it up and turn the Wookies into some kind of mawkish hell as with the Ewoks.

you guys are sure giving Lucas a lot of credit. last time around, we got an army of Boba (okay, Jango) Fetts and it still sucked.

I don't see anything wrong with Yoda farting, Stan. Remember when we first meet him in Empire, he's a silly little muppet (lying, stealing food, fighting with R2D2), not a serious wise Jedi Master.
Maybe he developed a chronic gas problem, which is why he went off to live on a swamp planet, so he had something to blame it on.

I read a description from someone who saw it (obviously could be fake) on a link on aicn a few weeks ago and it sounds like it might not suck. The reviewer actually just ranked it just behind Empire.
Then again aicn said atoc wouldn't suck, so, y'know..
BUT, Wookie army. How can you not get excited by that?

I didn't implicitly say I was against the idea. I'm hoping that it's during a very solemn scene, like at Amidalas's funeral. Then all of a sudden, *BRRAAAAAAAP*
Obi-Wan - "Whoooo! Holy... somebody light a saber."
Anakin - "That's it, I'm going to the dark side."

Lucas should just make movie trailers full time. The trailers for the prequels were all a thousand times more gripping and interesting than the movies they were culled from. In fact they were better than the most of the movies they were attached to. I mean I took off work to see the Phantom Menace trailer and suffered through Adam Sandler's Waterboy - it was shown before and after the film - just to see that trailer a second time.

All the reviews for The Incredibles that I've read and heard so far just can't stop gushing, though...

Pfft. The trailers for the last two kicked butt too. The films themselves were sewage. I'm sure I'll see whatever this turns out to be on DVD one day; the only way I'll see it in a cinema is maybe in second-tier release if it's in a locally-owned theatre that serves pizza and beer and doesn't show commercials.

I'm going to brazenly steal the best comment made on fipi lele after this file was posted:

Is it just me, or does it look like something suspiciously computery happens when Obi Wan says the word "peace"? There's what sounds to me like a tiny sound glitch. I can't remember right now if something different is said in the original movie.
I don't think this is a sinister, Lucasian edit, but it looked and sounded weird to me.

trailer is on usenet group - alt.binaries.starwars as well, since bandwidth seems to be at issue.
further, google groups search turns up lots of other web sites with the trailer for download.
my thoughts after watching it yesterday were:
"riiiiiisssseeee" palpy sounds like a cat purr/meowing, whatever that noise is that they make. or a bullfrog as someone else suggested.
the volcanic stuff looks fantastic, as does the space battle scenes..
the mace windu bit appears to be in the presidential chambers and you get a brief glimpse (very brief) of a red saber. i would assume this is the confrontation between palpatine and mace (and anakin?)
the wookies look cool, from what i have read this movie will be action packed enough to make it better than the other two prequels on "pretty" value alone.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume that someone has long since observed that Sith is an anagram for Shit, right?

So much of the computer-generated stuff (including the old-Obi Wan-speaking bit) just looks computery, uncanny even.

Is this the trailer you have to be a member of starwars.com's pay service to see right now? So we're just putting copyrighted files right up on the front page?

I don't know, that Vader reveal looked very cheesy to me. Something about the way his hands are bound. I don't have much hope for this movie, and the trailer didn't help.

main reason this movie has a high probability of suckage:
the director.
notice that the two best star wars films were not directed by him.
