Looking for a career change? (NSFW)
Well, that was awfully nice of her to offer all that info for free. And quite interesting.

In short, a young woman who is reasonably smart and in good shape can get a job that will easily cover her college/rent/bills... especially when compared to other jobs most people get at that age or education level. While the situation is rare (NYC vs. the rest of America), it makes me think.
Mainly it makes me think "wow, we men are stupid", but I suppose there's plenty of evidence for that already.

Hey, CrackerBelly, get the hell offa my reality! Of course, for us over here in Europe, $100 really doesn't seem like a lot of money.
E_B_A, how did you find this? What sort of perverted brand of google-fu do you practice?

Seriously, while looking for a job.
Not that anyone would pay me to remove my clothes while dancing to Ja Rule.

Just remember, if you become a stripper, you will have to put up with people like me, for $1.

So this is free information? I suppose it's interesting since it's from the first-hand perspective, but I have a hard time understanding why the site should exist. It seems more like an ad than something really worthwhile - what would be more interesting is an autobiography. Can't have enough of those.

qDot: the best strip club ever is in Philly. $20 admission allows BYOB and covers the live sex shows. and yes, it has a smell.

Several of my friends paid for college stripping. Some are still strippers now. It can be really (really) good money for women but it plays hell with your love life.

fshgrl, I can see that, its cool to get the stripper for a night but its hard to think about your girlfriend going out to make money by showing off her goods to whoever paid the door charge to get in.
I like the stripper workout though, that's cool! Its all in the squats, baby!
An interesting site, if I were 20 years younger and female I'd consider a new career.

Everyone assumes that would be the problem but it never seemed to bother any of their boyfriends that much. The problem invariably was that woman was pretty much sick of all men after about two months of stripping and didn't want to come home to another one so she kicked him out.

What fshgrl said. Hell no, it doesn't bother the boyfriend; he gets to date a stripper! Major arm-candy, and it's him she's going home with. (Which is why he'll often turn up a bit early to pick her up. Unless he's a psycho, it's not because he is jealous, it's to make the other guys in the club jealous :) ).
The trouble is that a stripper, every night, sees how badly men can behave while remaining within the bounds of legality, and she associates earning money with interaction with men. Unless she realizes this and does something about it, the job will warp the way she views men. More of a problem if she's heterosexual obviously, but most women are, and even those who aren't still interact with men as friends and family members.

That's an interesting look into stripping, I thought. It was rather insightful and the way she looked at it was rather mature. You normally assume (or at least, I do) that they're high on drugs and are forced to strip to do that (and I'm sure that there are girls out there who do strip to support a habit), but it's nice to know that there are those who have a plan besides exploiting their body.
