The New Plywood Cabinet

Bush names Bodman from treasury to be new energy secretary ... As the troubling veneer peels off the new Cabinet, we will adjust to the look of that pliable wood. Any way you cut it the edges are raw, but they serve their purpose, concealing the machinery and paper trail, in the biggest going out of business sale, of all time. Over the next four years the people of the United States will be divested of their energy stores, and wild lands, by men like these. whoops, well not the new Homeland Security Chief, the troubling matter of the illegal servant, and the under the table pay, has put him out of the running.

This post was deleted for the following reason: boring news.

One can only imagine what larger scandals were averted by the convenient exit-strategy of Nannygate redux.

Tasers, anyone?

What, exactly, about the appointment of Bodman to the DoE do you feel is evidence of "the biggest going out of business sale," Oyeah?

While I like a good rant as much as the next Lefty, I like my rants to either be more thought, or at least have a few links in them.

It seems par for the course with the people in the Bush administration, digaman. If the media won't cover Cheney's Cayman Islands and energy company connections, then Kerik's relatively insignificant shady business practices won't raise any eyebrows.

But reporting on hiring an illegal nanny plays well with the minimum wage crowd, who will think a little justice is done and then ignore the rest of the bad stuff this administration does just that much more.

Its all part and parcel of the legitimacy game the media facilitates for the government.

Don't be so gullible. The nannygate smokescreen isn't holding.

Seems Newsweek, seeking comment, faxed the White House an arrest warrant for Kerik just before he said buh-bye.
