Whose sorry now?

Who's sorry now? Artists! Have you ever felt the need to apologise for the hurt caused by your Satan promoting work? Have you ever been forced to apologise or see your public funding withheld in contravention of the European Convention on Human Rights? Have you then decided to say sorry by organising a parade, whipping yourself and leaving wreaths outside cityhall?
Wow! That's one way to deal with a demand for apology.

Sorry, I didn't read the whole article but I am sure it is blasphemous and awful. I shall withhold my funding of Damienmce and become bug-eyed for the rest of the day.

That is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Thanks, Damienmce!
I wish that the people who were annoyed at the all-cheerleader production of The Vagina Monologues (see supra) and the "BushMonkeys" painting (also supra) had been as exigent as the Belfast City Council, because that's pure comedy gold!

I hate to ask, but: what's this "Vacuum" I'm reading about?

The Vacuum is the Belfast's sarcastically titled counter cultural undergroundish arts architecture social commentary journal. Its usually pretty sharp. All back issues.

from the Sorry Day events:
Sorry Santa:
From 2pm, visit Sorry Santa in front of Tesco and get your picture taken in his gloomy grotto. But no presents - they've all been withheld by Belfast City Council.
Cornmarket:
12-3pm A series of events: have a 'Sorry' stamp applied to your body for the day, chop onions, footwashing culminating in Miss Whiplash making City Councillors really sorry.
