Figures not talked about on TV

The other casualties. The NY Times, discussing the mental problems of returning Iraq vets, mentions in passing that we have 5,229 seriously wounded vets and 31,000 vets seeking benefits for physical and mental ailments. How come they don't talk about those numbers on the networks?
