Balance (8 min) is an Oscar award winning short animation piece by the Lauenstein brothers. "Balance turns a black comedy into a meditation on human interdependence" [flash, click on last link at bottom of page]
I had forgotten about Balance. I saw it years ago in a movie theater as part of a night of animation. Wonderful. Thanks.

Blue Man Group totally ripped off that film's entire aesthetic.

Drags on a bit, but on the whole a very nice work. Makes me crave some super monkey ball.

This is a wonderful short.
I have to admit though, I'm confused - it seems the box and one person are balanced by four people. Then how can the box balance with just one? Is it his location at the very edge of the platform? Or is it just anal to worry about such things?
