Pirate Raido calling

Priate Radio Calling for inauguration protests CNN is reporting that a guerilla radio station is calling for massive protests of the inauguration of President George W. Bush. After some googling, I found a press release from WSQT on indymedia concerning the transmissions. It seems that they are somehow related to DAWNdc a local leftist activist organization. Here is how they are reacting to the sudden attention.
Some folks are trying to get a simple protest for Inauguration Day. Just line up along the procession route to the swearing in and when the motorcade comes by simply turn your back.
No posters, no anti-Bush t-shirts. Dress normally, look professional and as the President moves past show him what you think peacefully.

I am in DC and can do... what is the number? Wait, I found it: 1680 AM -- I will pop it on my car on the way home and see if I can't find it and listen.

Incidentally, there were sizeable protests at the 2001 inauguration that received scant media coverage. I wonder if this will fare much better.
That "turn your back on Bush thing" sounds like it will be about as effective as Hands Across America was. 5 minutes of, "well, that was cool, now let's go home."

The local Democratic newsletter has called it Not a Damn Dime Day out here. Don't spend any money on anything on the 20th of January.
I've also heard that there will be more protesters of the inauguration than guests for it. And that should send a clear signal that the nation isn't united but I'm sure it'll be missed by ShrubCo because he's got a mandate (maybe its with Big Dicky?).

If anything can generate massive protests on Inauguration Day, surely it is pirate radio.
