Super Mario Bolsheviks

Was Mario some Communist propaganda? "If anything can be said about Mario, it is that he seems to wear quite a bit a red . It’s on his name, it’s the color of his suspenders, his super mushrooms, his flag, even his hat." He does kinda look like an 8-bit Stalin, but a more important question must be asked: "Is Mario a drug pusher?"
It works either way.
That was very funny. Much better than the drug pusher link.

Definitely stealing the expression "8-bit Stalin".

Super Mario Comrades!
The article would have more force if, at the end of each stage, it said, "Thank you Mario! But the capitalist oppression of workers continues in another castle."

Don't forget about the Smurfs as a utopian, socialist fable.

Man, the Smurfs, too? It's like everything children enjoy is communist.
Wait, that's it! Children are communists.

Just stopped in to say I'm stealing the expression "8-bit Stalin." Notice that it's already been stolen. Looking elsewhere for new hilarious expression.

To anyone raised in the 80’s, few names have such impact as the Super Mario Brothers do. We played their video games, watched their cartoon show, read their newsletter, bought their merchandise, ate their breakfast cereal, and even watched the piece of shit movie "The Wizard" starring the young, chubby cheeked miscreant Fred Savage because Super Mario Brothers 3 made an appearance.
We did?

Pretty_Generic not only wins, he leaves the crumpled bodies of everyone else posting in this thread in his wake. What does that say on the poster?

No way dude. I watched that film for the Power Glove and the Power Glove alone. "I love the power glove, it's so bad."

if i'm understanding it correctly (languagehat should come in here and fact check my ass) the top part of P_G's image says "the deputy is the servant of the people" and the bottom part says "the soviet court is the court of the people!" i'm not really following what deputies and courts have to do with mario, though. weird.

I never saw The Wizard, but I did watch that other piece of shit: the Super Mario Brothers movie. In a theater. Full price. And I was in my 20s. What the hell was I thinking?

Santa Clause has a red suit
He's a communist
And a beard, and long hair
Must be a pacifist
What's in the pipe that he's smoking?
