Artificially petrified wood? Was this funded by the Creationist Institute?

Nah, they're not coming for you. They're busy creating the '08 Democratic candidate.

Do grapples come from the same lab as craisins?
On an offtopic note, on the Google search page for craisins there was a Sponsored Link for eBay offering a sale on new & used Craisins. Yum, used craisins.

They can take me. Just the other day I was wondering if I could petrify myself and POW - the infinite continuum provides an answer. I thought I would have to resort to plasticization but petrification is the classic choice for self preservation.
Only about one bone in a billion ever becomes fossilized. If that is so, it means the complete fossil legacy of all the Americans alive today - that's 270 million people with 206 bones each - will only be about 50 bones. - Bryson.
As very few bones make it through to the fossil record and given that we're likely to destroy ourselves in the next few centuries, it would be nice to be part of the relics found a million years down the road by wandering aliens or the next batch of sentient beings evolution dares coughs up.

some sort of puerile joke about "petrifying" the "wood." If you know what I mean.
