Etiquette Hell For those who throw good manners, common decency, and proper etiquette to the wind, here is a website collecting stories about social gaffes that are often hilarious.
jacquilynne tell me it's not the Eve story (second one down).

(Mr.Howell voice)
I greatly prefer a Bon Mot to a Faux Pas.
(clenched tooth throaty laugh through dry martini residue)
Funny stuff. Double or not good post.

A funny read (many, many years ago...)
Double or not good post.
No, it's not. Or should we double post every post that 'was' a good post. Next "google: a great new browser".

It may not be fair, but I stopped reading after I came across what may be the most banal, pointless "bad etiquette" complaint I have ever read (first on the page). It's almost a classic of its type, in a way.

I love this site in a train wreck kind of way. Whenever there's an update everything stops until I've read it all. It's worth reading through the people whining about not getting thank you cards (fine, it's rude, but it's a relatively trivial thing and you can be big enough to rise above it, can't you?) to get to some of the hilarious accounts of people behaving spectacularly badly.

And the second complaint on the page argybarg linked is an urban legend.
I follow the updates to this site and am perenially amazed by the amount of crap people will take from others merely because it's Bridezilla's "special day" or whatever.

True, since the NYT has been posted before, we can't post it again. We should never post anything that has ever been posted here ever again no matter how often something is updated or how amusing it might be. Reposting something even almost 3 years later, utterly ruins metafilter for everyone.
But even though jacquilynne had alread ponted out it was a repost, good comment justgary.

It's not just the reposting. It's the "who on the Internet hasn't seen this before now?" and the "it's a miracle they finally came out of the coma" and the "I got nothing, so here's a turd."

Ok. Fair enough.
I hadn't seen it though (in a coma apparently)
And I enjoyed it. Just thought I'd say thanks.
