Yes, a few of the links are 404'd, and a few are just abstracts rather than full papers, but it's still a fascinating collection.

Thanks, DevilsAdvocate, his theorizing is very informative. I think so much of the science fiction and interest in A.I. draws its strength from the question: What does it mean to be a human? The plots and underpinnings and success of AI rest on our ability to understand our own nature. Androids built to simulate intelligence -- with answers paired to questions might be headed in the wrong direction. To pass the turing test, so much learning ability is needed, to approach the human cycle of maturation. This can be the difference between an android being labeled a monster (failure) or simply a foreigner or "ice man".
