Very clever.

This is a pretty good stream, thanks liam.

David Byrne was a huge influence for me when i first began exploring the meaning of music. This is a treat to find and hear.

Also, boingboing's XJ did an interview with DB that will also be on NPR's "Day to Day" today. He has a uniquely realistic view of the current state of the music biz; he also sees internet radio as the resurgence of musical serendipity.

Feh. Couldn't get it to work with any of my players.

Damn, though, 'cause I do like David Byrne.

Oh, well. Back to RadipPass: Reggae...

When I read on his journal that Mr. Byrne was hanging with The Arcade Fire, it simply confirmed my belief that all the artists that I like live together in a big victorian house on top of a hill.

They eat breakfast separately, because they get up at different times (I don't think Tom Waits is a morning person), but they always make an effort to sit down and have dinner together.

It's also a channel on iTunes Radio (under "Eclectic.")

David Byrne was wonderful here in SF a couple of weeks ago.

But I ain’t got no speakers, ain’t got no
heaphones, ain’t got no records to play.

The old man's got taste. Do note his warning about appropriate times, Missy E sings like a sailor swears. Sorta NSFW speakers.

Weird. I use WinAmp, and when I selected Other MP3 Player, it wanted to download a 40 MB file. I thought this was reatime streaming. I don't understand.

It streams just fine using Windows Media and IE (that is pretty much what I am limited to at work). On his main page it says "If you experience problems with the popup player window, click here" That calls up a window that allows you to choose media player or other players. It worked for me from IE but not Firefox. Anyway, the stream is perfect music to work to, making liam's post wording even more on point.
