Just to clarify, look who comes to every LebowskiFest -- he really ties the indie film scene together.

Wow, that rock album Jeff put out in 2000 was apocalyptically bad. But who cares?! Lebowski was simply one of the best films of the second half of the 20th century. Solid gold.

I used to know the guy who inspired "Big Dave" in The Man Who Wasn't There. He didn't look like James Gandolfini though.

I only really started loving Lebowski after I discovered the quote generator.

Are the drawings for real? I saw Door in the Floor last week on DVD and am haunted by it. Heard that Door in the Floor is being/has been written as a children's book.

I already love Lebowski, and that quote generator is the most awesome thing I have ever seen. Thanks fleetmouse! I don't know if there's a more quotable move anywhere. Wow.

tallbuildings: The Door In The Floor is included in A Widow For One Year, the John Irving novel the movie was based on.

Maryh,
What I've heard is that John Irving is actually writing a children's book entitled "The Door in the Floor"

From the look on Scott's face in the picture, ColdChef, I'm guessing it was a total surprise.
Scott and Will, the two founders of Lebowski Fest, deserve this. They've done a great job putting the fests together.
When the lady who was passing out bus tickets from a card table at the Fest in Louisville last summer introduced herself as "Will's mom," he gently corrected her - "She's my dad's special lady friend."

Nice marmot.
According to the "Which Big Lebowski character are you?" quiz:
Why don't you check it out? Or we cut of your Johnson!

Dude, I finally got the venue I wanted. I'm performing my dance quintet - you know, my cycle - at Crane Jackson's Fountain Street Theatre on Tuesday night, and I'd love it if you came, and gave me notes.

I've always thought it was "Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you." Sam Elliot just says "bar" because of his cowboy accent. Can someone confirm this? Please!

Given the Dude's affinity for White Russians, I'd say you should accept the bar. He certainly did. Repeatedly!
