Hasn't this gone far enough?

Why is it that sequels always suck? I guess this would be the next logical step in the series. I, for one, welcome our new Oversight Overlords. Please don't use my own tax dollars to persecute me.
Are we supposed to get a new one every year?
With more and more chipped away? Actually, what's left?
If they can detain, question, detain indefinately, and not have oversight, what more can they take?

All right.. I guess if it's used to shut Limbaugh down, it'd be OK.

This is the point you say, "Hey! Where'd my posts go?" to freak everyone out.

Don't laugh, InnocentBystander. I had been arguing with Bali, but my posts have been detained indefinitely! Actually, scratch that, because that would mean I'd be for the Revenge of Patriot Act.

What they do is set up a wish list that they implement when a nice pretext comes along.

I think as part pf Patriot Act 2 1/2 they should make it a federal law that everyone wear tiny american flag lapel pins. It's a nice touch of solidarity in the face of those who hate our freedoms.

With RFID tags in them. They could take the place of the Real ID.

Can anyone remind me how many Americans have died in bona fide terrorist attacks? 6,000, maybe 7,000? How many people die in auto accidents in the USA every weekend? I don't see this kind of spending and sweeping destruction of our rights being envisaged to police the roads, that's for damn sure. Like air crashes, statistical reality is overtaken by visceral horror; terrorism works, but the beneficiaries haven't been quite who we've been told they're supposed to be.
And hey, records of successful counterterrorist operations are secret too, whether or not they exist! Just trust us, we made you safe. Now bend over.
To take out your wallet! YOUR WALLET! What did you think I meant...?

Sequels suck? I submit "Mad Max II", which I believe was known as "The Road Warrior" in the US. Infinitely superior to the rather tame and tedious original. Ummm... yeah. I know that isn't really what this thread is about. Sorry.

We're far beyond the 'slippery slope' stage. The time for that talk was before PATRIOT 1 passed unread. With the precedents set in P1 and the DHS free-ride ticket tacked onto the RealID act, we're a done deal.
We SHOULD be talking about how we're going to overthrow this mess. Our oppressors have their hooks in too deep now for us to even consider using the system as it was intended.

And you, Alex, an annoying, bitter and frustrated fag.
At least I have a sense of humor and something intelligent to say. What do you do on others' posts, but add your one-liners of no consequence? You're no better than Dios, in that respect.

A picture of a girl giving the middle finger? Witty's the big winner, once again!
Is this as good as it gets, man? Pretty sad.
