I hope I still have hair like that when I'm 59. plus, Lynch's accent sounds so cool to my infidel foreigner ears -- I know Lynch's from Montana, is that a Montana accent? he sounds like a cowboy in an old RKO western

I don't get it. Can someone explain it to me by talking backwards while a midget dances jerkily?

Maybe its me, but i'm a little dissapointed by his workplace situation. Was expecting something a bit more maybe? It reminds me of my cube...

He's probably at one tiny corner of his giant loft space.

That's okay, cx. My mom always tells the story about how Englebert Humperdink proposed.

> how the mighty have fallen

That's a ridiculous, over-the-top assessment of something that's almost surely not the sign of impending Lynchian doom you've made it out to be. "How the mighty are really just normal people like the rest of us," is a far better fit. But that's not the whole story, either.

Though the web has changed quite a bit in a last few years, I don't think human nature has discarded its cornerstones, especially when it comes to someone else's creative work. People go to an artist's web site to connect on some other level then they connected with the work.

Sure, after you've seen Mulholland Drive, and you want to dig deeper, there's a whole internet bristling with aloof follow-up, so it's fulfilling to have the counterpoint of a man with a cup of coffee just getting started in the morning. You don't always have to stare down the barrel of stark reality all the time, but it's a nice touch in a site chock full of creepy, horrifying, awesome stuff like "Rabbits", and "Sunset #2" and "The Pig Walks." In a way, the counterpoint really adds even more punch to the out-there experiments and dark forays -- because there's this...anchor. He's like the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain, controlling the whole show so we have somewhere to go when we want the living crap scared out of us.

(Full Disclosure: I've been trolled!)

Hey SteelyDuran, did Lynch ever finish "Rabbits"? I've seen all the episodes but the last. That was a creepy, creepy show. And I now find myself wanting to rejoin DavidLynch.com.
