John is not really dull, he may only need his eyes examined. Remarkable posters from the Work Progress Administration, 1936-1943. You can view the collection highlights or the entire archive. A few personal favorites, including a surprisingly fetching cow. The site also includes some interesting historical and critical resources. Now get back to work!
If I was more political I might raise a point about this one, concerning modern events, but that's really not my style.

Well, crap. I did a Google search on the main link and it didn't turn up anything. Shoot.
Incidentally, LarryC, some of the posters can be ordered from the Library of Congress. And Ranger Doug does very nice quality prints of the National Park Service posters.

Yu can't call a cow 'fetching'. That's just wrong.
It is a bit pretty. For a cow.

OK, I have not had any coffee this morning. Ranger Doug's Web site.
And I thought the cow looked weirdly Brigitte Bardotesque.

You can't just use a Google search, Sully6; doing a thread search "since day one" for the main link would have turned up the previous post.

we've talked about memory.loc.gov a lot, Sully6. But since this specific section hasn't been discussed since 2001, I bet everyone will forgive you.

And I'd still give my eyeteeth for an original of this poster.

Doesn't matter, Sully6. This is sweet! I love old propaganda, anywho.
Thanks!

Hey crunchland, that poster is available from Ranger Doug. I bought it for my brother for Christmas a few years ago. It was on a very heavy paper stock with an eggshell feel. Really lovely.
Sure, it's not an original, but does this mean I get a molar or bicuspid from you?

I've met John, and, trust me, the boy really is dull.
