maybe this is bad form, but i couldn't help thinking of the gallery of photos along the same lines that i just posted over at flickr, of the omnipresent discarded refrigerators here in new orleans, post katrina.

Although it's quite sad and depressing. My town has dirty hobos sleeping on the street and in stairwells, Japan has clean businessmen...

Japan has its share of hobos, but they tend to live in groups of blue-tarped tents in the city parks. Examples here and here.
