Ted Allen talks

Ted Allen interview! The food and wine expert on Queer Eye has a new cookbook out, and he talks to Slashfood about...well, everything: favorite foods, music, books, beer, birds, and other things.
Ted gives a shout-out to our shared hometown once again (and we both prefer Boston! go us!).

I think I may have shared an elevator with Ted recently. The dude looked just like him and when he noticed me and my freind noticing him, he sorta smirked.

He makes a fabulous judge on Iron Chef America. His new book is already on my Amazon wish list.

A friend of mine saw another of the Queer Eye guys -- the blonde-haired one -- at a club in New York, wearing cool-slacker/skatepunk attire, visibly tweaked out.

This is a great interview, Ted is definitely my favorite of the Queer Eye guys, and I like food. Thanks, braun_richard!

He's telling the truth about his musical tastes. My girlfriend and I spotted him at the Lamb Chop show at the Bowery Ballroom the other day. Hard band to categorize, but certainly interesting and "indie."

I just finished working on QE. Ted's a nice guy, they never give him enough good scenes.

fungible, you work on Queer Eye? I need to know: do the guys on the show know about the crab people episode? What do they think about it? I'm always curious how celebrities feel about their portrayals on South Park.

To my knowledge, they loved it. South Park even went and got permission before airing their satire, which was nice.
Oh, and the fact that they really are crab people, that helped too.
