That was brilliant, thanks. What an excellent way to present those paintings. The slightly absurd owls coupled with Baudelaire were my favourite.

Hahaha. The strange quail-like birds and "You are so beautiful to me" is the kind of unbelievable fromage only the French can come up with.

I can't believe this has only gotten seven comments (five, really). I know, I know, the number of comments is not correlated with quality, people appreciate and go away happy but don't leave a comment because they feel silly just saying "This is good," but let me tell you, it's discouraging posting great stuff and having it sink practically without trace. And people wonder why there's so much crap on the front page—it gets noticed, that's why. If the choice is between getting a few comments and having to imagine a lot of happy but silent people or getting 300 comments and lots of exciting discussion, it takes a stout heart to go with the former.
