Some mid-week Flash fun.
Daniel: Wouldn't a fly swatter be easier?
Miyagi: Man who catch fly with chopstick accomplish anything.
Daniel: Ever catch one?
Miyagi: Not yet.

Interestingly, "Karate Kid" is just as much a part of the cultural consciousness in Japan as it is in the US. Everybody knows catching flies with chopsticks and "Wax on, wax off."

Yeah, one. (plus it seems to give you less time on subsequent tries.)

Eight. On my sixth or so try. Fun little game. Once you ignore the clock, it's easier.

This is no Babycal Throw. Whoever posted that game as a comment in a games thread a couple of weeks ago has ruined my productivity (already pretty low) for life.

Yeah, I played this before and got 117 or something. The "trick" appearantly was to play this game on your old computer while simultaneously, for example, rendering something in after effects. Then you're in Karate Kid bullet-time, and it's no problem at all.

While taking a md5sum of my entire disk I was able to get 76 -- seems you get less and less extra time the further up you go (I had a 60+ second surplus and it didn't SEEM that I was catching flies any slower before it had evaporated).
Old computer? Hey, this p3-733 is my daily desktop!

I think the time limit defeats miyagi's original point. You must have patients to catch a fly with copsticks, and an eight second initial time limit does nothing to help you with that.

I got two on my first go, but I'm on a G5 Dual 2GHz with 2.5gb of RAM.
That's an equivalent score of 236 flies on a PC.

a better and infinitely less irritating game would be how many you could catch within a minute, for instance, with an extra minute if you reached, i dont know, one or something
