I remember that!

If, like me, you grew up on a steady diet of TV in either the 70s, 80s or 90s, then head on over to Retro Junk. There you'll remember such classics as, for example, The Spiderman Live Action Series from the 70s, Thundercats from the 80s or the legendary Samurai Pizza Cats
from the 90s. It even has archives for commercials and movies from these eras as well, just to really complete that sense of nostalgia.
Wow, that is a great site. That reminds me, I still haven't gotten around to finishing off season 1 of Thundercats on DVD. :)

Land Before Time puppets from Pizza Hut! I remember getting those when doing Book It for school.

And for the UKsians, TV Cream is stunningly comprehensive. And includes loads of mp3s of the theme songs. Remember the theme to The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe? It's there.

TV Cream has Going For Gold with Henry Kelly!!!
"So Klaus, your question for tree points - Which country lost the First and Second World Wars and the 1966 World Cup?"
"Pierre - which country has been occupied twice and is well known for rudeness and wine?"
Never was there a more unfair English-speaking quiz in history.

Wow, thanks. I've been looking for this Peter Chung intro to C.O.P.S. for awhile now.
No James Bond Jr. clip yet though, for some reason the theme to that awful cartoon has been repeating in my head for the last 15 years or so.

Incredible - not just the theme, but the full opening credits for The Man From Atlantis AND Automan, both shows that lasted something like 9 episodes and were seen by between 20 & 30 people tops. And yet ONE of those people, back in the late 70s/early 80s had a VCR & recorded the credits. It's a much bigger world than I ever remember.

jonson - a good 30 or 40 guys in this office alone remember Automan. It does help that it's rerunning on Bravo here in the UK of course.

This site makes me extremely glad that there remains no record of precisely which lame tv shows I was a big fan of when I was younger. Just seeing some of those intros again made me wonder what the hell was wrong with me.

The CBS Special Presentation clip makes me so happy. I never thought I would see something so totally meaningless, ephemeral, and useless ever again!

No "The Legend of Calamity Jane" ? Bastards. They do list Exo-Squad at least.

Watching the 4 different G.I.Joe intro's just about made me fall out of my chair laughing.
They were to aweful. From the stilted animation, to the completely wierd camera angles (plus the huge amount of spacial distortion). Then the voice-over comes in. I wonder if you were to take that little clip and just substiture neo-cons and al queda for G.I.Joe and Cobra, would they use it as an Army recruitment video, or just play it on repeat on Fox News.
For some reason I get the strange feeling that most gung-ho Bush supporters were avid fans of that show. It just seems to fit.

If Bravo UK is scheduled like Bravo US, does that mean it shows the entire series run of Automan in a single night?
(PS: Dear Bravo UK, I will gladly make Bravo US give you all the episodes of Celebrity Poker Showdown in exchange for Automan. Hell, I'll even throw in Project Runway for any Max Headroom episodes you may have kicking around somewhere.)

Yeah but isn't the Dennis Miller and MST3K comedy arsenal based almost entirely around the obscure reference too? Seems to be a strange but surprisingly effective formula.

Another inconsequential cartoon whose theme song has mysteriously been stuck in my head. It's only the weird, unlikable ones - I can barely remember the themes to shows that I watched religiously like Transformers. . . and that even has a cool song! Even notably viral songs like DuckTales don't follow me, just random stuff.

Wow... watching the Bravestarr intro again really takes me back. SUCH high cheeseball factor! And My Pet Monster - god, the number of afternoons I used to waste watching that STUPID show.
