Staffed by identical twins and co-owned by Tom Berenger. Who cares about the food?

Is there something interesting about the content on this page that might warrant discussion from others?

Oh, I get it now. I guess it's a little interesting - the wording of the post made me think it was nothing more than a link to a restaurant page (which it is, but there's a bit more to it).

aladfar, did you miss the part about how it's staffed by identical twins and co-owned by Tom Berenger? I mean, c'mon! It's staffed by identical twins and co-owned by Tom Berenger! Tom Berenger, man!

I got Tom Beringer confused with Tom Sizemore for a second. I was excited until I realized my error.

These twins would all be better off if they went and worked for McDonalds:

Several sets of twins are among McDonald's employees trialling a new innovation in flexible working being pioneered by the company.

The Family Contract enables two people from the same family working in the same McDonald's restaurant to cover each other's shifts - with no prior notice.

Two sets of twin brothers are using the contracts in one restaurant in Cambridgeshire, while in Cardiff identical twins Omah and Ali Dulaeh, students aged 22, have swapped shifts on a regular basis since joining the scheme. They look so alike that often their name badge is the only thing that tells their restaurant manager who is doing the shift!

Twins on a plane?

I'd love to see fraternal twins get turned down

Well, at least guys and unmarried women could still show driver's licenses.

In a word, yes.

Lagavulin, Laphroaig and Ardbeg are the three most strongly flavoured Islay malts. I hate to break it to you, but Lagavulin is probably the mildest of the three!

If you like the smokey, peaty flavour (which it sounds like you don't) but not in that intensity, Bowmore - from the middle of the island - make some wonderful malts that retain those characteristics, but are otherwise more like a Highland malt. Highly recommended.

There is a almost full bottle of Laphroaig in the kitchen at my workplace. Everything else gets consumed, even the wierd homemade booze gifts, but not the Laphroaig.

As an aside, if anyone is ever in Odense Denmark, there is a great attic whisky bar with a tasty list. I took a drinking tour of the highlands here/there?, once upon a time.

tim_in_oz nails it. Strong smoked peat is a love it or hate it, I happen to love it. Bowmore is a great recommendation too, for those who want something a bit more middle of the line on super strong taste. It's also reasonably priced ($20-25), at least where I live.

Recently, I stopped by my local liquor store to buy a bottle of Bowmore. The clerk there asked me if I'd like to do a tasting of the different types, (IIRC) the 12-, 15-, and 17-year olds, and the newer ones aged in Port, Sherry, and, I think, Bordeaux barrels. Fabulous.
