Ann Coulter on the Grateful Dead, "I fondly remember seeing the Dead when I was at Cornell. It was the day of the fabulous Fiji Island party on the driveway “island” of the Phi Gamma Delta House. We'd cover ourselves in purple Crisco and drink purple Kool-Aid mixed with grain alcohol and dance on the front yard."
This post was deleted for the following reason: we covered this last week
Ann Coulter...covered in purple Crisco.
Thanks, geoff. Now I have a picture.

I read that quickly and thought I saw, "Ann Coulter found Dead."
Seriously, enough with fucking Ann Coulter. You're like fucking closet gays who bash the gay movement because they're conflicted with themselves. We all know that MeFi has a love/hate relationship with her. Do we need a new post every time she expresses a new opinion? Why not just a sidebar link to her fucking homepage? Would that be enough to satisfy you freaks?

No. I want her to strap on her big black dong and wreck it while telling me what she thinks of Chomsky.

I'm with the "ignore her" crowd. She's poisonous, that's for sure, but why dignify anything she has to say by giving her attention?

Yeah, it's essentially the same bullshit from the previous post linking to jambands.com. Who cares what kind of music she listens/listened to? Who cares what this tart thinks about anything?

I heard rumours that Ted Rall listens to the Bee Gees.

My first double post. Woe is me. But Jesus Christ, it's not like I'm propogating some hate she's spewing. It's just a funny anecdote that's Ann Coulter being very un-Ann Coulter.

Hm. Y'know, if you really wanted another Coulter FP (and who does-- I mean, doesn't... I mean, whatever) you could have done worse than link her her outing for plagiarism (warning, spelling-and-grammar impaired). I mean if Jayson Blair or Stephen Glass or Blair Hornstein all rate FPPs for plagiarism, Coulter does, right?

I have to wonder if she plagiarized that.
on preview: whoops, George beat me to it.

What's that? The village cobbler says something called "bread" has been invented? Either way, these recurrent posts are very popular...

I generally like Ann Coulter, but her liking the Greatful Dead gives me pause. I mean, the Greatful Dead don't bite because they're left-wing, crunchy bohemians who promote the kind of hedonism, substance abuse and unstructured lifestyles usually frowned upon by right-wing pundits. The Greatful Dead bite because they bite. The Greatful Dead would bite they had Milton Friedman on lead, Leo Strauss on drums, and Ayn Rand on Farfisa. The Greatful Dead would bite if Winston Churchill was pumping the bass, C.S. Lewis played rhythm, and Rudolph Guiliani handled the payola. They are worse than the worst bar band in the world, and it pains me to see that the otherwise sound Ms. Coulter has not got the common sense to not encourage them.

I don't know who to feel sorrier for: Ann Coulter, for liking the Dead; the Dead, for being liked by Ann Coulter; or us, for having our valuable time wasted.

The idea of Ann Coulter listening to the Dead makes me feel dirty and a little nauseous. Dirty like I'll never be able to wash the filth away again. (And I'm not even a Deadhead. ) Anyhow it makes me hate Deadheads even more than I did already. (Even though I like the Dead). Anyhow it's a goddamn double. Flagged.

Yeah, I agree: the Dead were mostly liberal-raghead-terrorist-New-Deal-abortionists bankrolled by the ACLU, we all know that.

A double post for sure, but for those with the mandate of ignore her you might consider ignoring FPP posts you don't care for.
