Let me tell you what "Like a Virgin" is about

I think they were thinking, "This is a great opportunity to have my kids get started in an acting career by starring in some very interesting commercials."

As a follow up: apparently the game is banned in Austraila. I think tipped them off...time to get some gasoline!

Could these possibly be voice-overs by younger sounding voice actors? Even so I guess they'd have to be pretty creative to come up with non-vulgar lines for the children to mouth.

I liked Laurie Castelli's (director of the kids' Reservoir Dogs game vids) other vids about independence... Home Response. This cute newspaper one too.

Are you kidding me? Who would bother to do that shit? You think kids don't know what "dick" mean?

It's not really much of a biggie, though, phyrewerx, when you consider the setting of it. I mean, they're actors, and they're old enough to know that they're acting. I'd be worried if they talked like this at home, being themselves and not a TV commercial character, but I'm fairly sure they wouldn't do that.
Fucking awesome, this is.

maybe they where thinking that vulgar words are not actually destructive to the moral fiber of children. That words are words and an expanded vocabulary is an expanded vocabulary, and a mildly lucrative acting job might double as an opportunity to teach about the appropriate context for the use of expletives.

What the f* were the parents of these kids thinking when they let them film these ads?
How old are they? They look about 12 to me, in which case they'll probably have seen Resevoir Dogs, and doubtless pepper their conversations with profanities.
Oh and phyrewerx, we're grown-ups, you can say 'fuck' here if you want to. Or at least get the right number of prissy asterixes.

The parents were probably thinking that at age 12 their kids could appreciate the irony of Tarantino's post-modern glorification of violence. You know, as teens do.

I went to check out the advertised website for the "reservoir dogs game," and was asked to confirm my age. So evidently somebody HAS been thinking of the children.
Imagine my disappointment when I found out that it was a video game, and not a live action role playing game as the commercials implied.

Don't feel bad, phyrewerx --- anybody who's been a MeFite for more than a day knows that, had your FPP said, "Look at this really hilarious ad I found!" many of the same people talking about how funny it is would probably have excoriated it for being unfunny and slammed the parents of the actors for abusing their children.

Flying in the face of cultural concepts of childhood innocence and dignity of age for... what? Not liberty or lifestyle choices, but marketing. Cool.
By which I mean, lame. And possibly destructive, since those concepts do have some value, however amusing iconoclastic counters may be.

Either the little girl already knows what "big dicks" means, in which case it's too late for her to be corrupted, or she doesn't, in which case it's just another word to her, and it's no more damaging to her psyche than saying "big fish" or "small tree".

I don't remember the movie perfectly, but I get the idea that Tim Roth was doing his "scream and flail" bit while Nice Guy Eddie's dad had the gun pointed at him. The commercial would have been that much better if the guy was screaming and flailing while the kids discuss shooting him.

Well, I was mostly kidding, but in the movie, Tim Roth's character (Mr. Orange) is lying on the ramp pretty quietly bleeding to death. Joe Cabot's pointing a gun at Mr. Orange, Mr. White is pointing a gun at Joe, and Nice Guy Eddie's pointing a gun at Mr. White. (And Mr. Pink is hiding under the ramp.)
But then I don't think absolute fidelity to the movie is the point of the ad.
