Photographing Squirrels with Cameras No really, taking pictures of real wild squirrels next to real vintage cameras. No computer editing, he swears. Some are completely odd and others entirely cute as hell. Hours of time well spent!

“Squirrels,” said Ira, who’d followed along. He was peering down at a hole in the trunk. His gaunt cheeks stretched in a grin. “A big nest of them. Yum.” He disappeared into the hole, greeted by an explosion of squirrel chatter.

Thes are pretty cool, as pictures.
Now I don't know about anyone else, and I'm probably just a horrible bastard, but I hate that the artist implies that someone gives a flying fuck by overtly displaying copyright crap in the titles.
Flickr has license management for this very reason.

Although I normally think of squirrels as rats with good PR, this was quite cute.

He takes pictures of squirrels with old cameras.
No, he actually snaps the squirrels... with... the cameras.
Ummm, okay, - no, wait - he makes it look like they're photographing squirrels.. photographing other squirrels... [sigh]

Just when I thought this post couldn't get any better, homunculus posts a Rudy Rucker story. I just finished re-reading Frek and the Elixir, and was so sad when I had no more to read. I savored every word of the fucking glossary, delighting in every connection to Saucer Wisdom. That link was just enough to keep me from going into Rucker withdrawal.

It's almost like the guy took a big list of nouns and decided he would take photos of whatever two he randomly chose. Squirrels and cameras. It certainly could have been worse.

This is the best use of squirrels and the internet since the seminal squirrel fishing site of 1997.

Was the title a reference to the Dilbert TV show? (Am I a huge loser?)

No kidding flarbuse, we could have ended up with hobos and flamethrowers or something.
...on second thought, that would be fucking sweet. Ok, let's try that again. Alarm clocks and squid. There we are, much better. Where by better, I mean worse. I don't think that would have quite the same cuteness about it as squirrels with cameras. Well, that and squid need to die.
