Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour This is a blatant self link.

I am a not-for-profit here.
It's worse than no profit, you're down $5.
You obviously know better. Is this some sort of MeFi death wish evening?

Waitwaitwaitwaitwaitwait...
Okay, so you're not-for-profit. That's points for you. But MetaFilter's got a specific place for this sort of thing, and if I rememer correctly, that place is Projects. You're obviously not just some random bloke who's paid his $5 bucks who's just trying to drive traffic to his site, but on the other hand, making exceptions for stuff like your post would create a slippery slope indeed.
You're a contributing member of the community, you've obviously read the guidelines. What's up, then, with doing this thing that you're not supposed to do? Why do you hate MetaFilter? Stop hurting MetaFilter!
If I had a cake right now, you'd be taking it!
Huy, I really need to get out more...

Website linked in his profile and in the post are the same. I supposed some meddler could've changed it to make it more incriminating. That would imply that the meddler knows something of persona non grata's affinity for music. Using current data and a healthy dose of Mr. Occam's wonderous Razor, the simplest explanation is that he's wantonly self-linked.
Well, I guess the more experienced will weigh in with their own opinion/snark/investigations. But it's all we can do until Number One or The Librarian wake from their peaceful rest.

Awww, png - say it ain't so.
Thanks for the traffic, Bob
So far this year this blog has had 504,890 visitors, and they have almost all come here for one thing, my second post, Bob Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour. That’s a lot of people for a young blog! More than a half million folks!
...So thanks, Bob Dylan, for the Theme Time Radio Hour and for letting me keep it going here at White Man Stew against all odds. I know I am breaking all sorts of laws but so far so good so long as nobody minds. You’ve got some serious and multitudinous fans who keep coming here from all over the world to get your weekly words and I am delighted to ride your coat tails.

persona non grata. Are you still here?
Hello?
Speak up if you are, because we'd like like to hear a few more words from you before you're banned. You know, for posterity. Something to tell the grandkids about.
You do realize you've fucked up, completely, right? We don't ban self-links just to stop people making money. We ban them because it's completely poor form. It's not what the site is about. This isn't digg. A high degree of trust is placed in users because they have the ability to get whatever site that want at the top of the front page immediately and you just broke that trust. You must have figured this out, right? You've been here long enough.
Are you drunk? Come on. Tell us. What made you do it?

Um, Occam's razor does not tell you how to find the simplest answer, only that it is most likely to be right.
Also, isn't it possible that a 'meddler' could have simply posted a link to PNG's declared page?

Who here is not aware that I am talking the piss out of quonsar and going for a ban on behalf of Bob Dylan.
Seriously. This is all about Bob.

Aaah deliberately going down in flames in the names of quonsar and Bob Dylan. That's okay then. Sorry for bringing it up.

persona non grata is Bob Dylan??!?
I saw you in Adelaide, Bob, and you sucked so much I walked out. Actually I just went because my girlfriend wanted to see Ani Di Franco support you. The Waifs were great as well, but you just didn't have it anymore.
I hope you aren't banned for this because I'd really like an apology.

Wow, surprising to see you self link. I don't see what profit has to do with anything. If the guidelines said you could link your blog, then that'd be okay. But they don't, so you can't.

On the one hand, this is someone who has already put ten songs on MuFi and has hung around Metatalk long enough to know that a few fleeting hours of front page exposure will be traded for removal of the post, deletion of the account and loss of any repuatation built up here should he try to return.
On the other hand, this is also someone who has posted and, apparently, commented drunk before.

If by posting the Mall's Balls, Jimbob, you were referring obliquely to persona non grata's apparent desire to be repeatedly kicked in the groin over the course of the next however long it takes for this post to be deleted, I'm right with you.
If not, thank you anyway for the image of my distant, beloved hometown.
I could try to think of something useful to say about this post, or Bob Dylan, or 'www.whitemanstew.com', but we're all just throwing pineapples into the void here anyway so I really don't care enough.
