The only version of this I saw was the choppy YTMND version. Thanks for the real thing.

Oh yeah, also, anyone know the context this came from? I'm afraid I'm not enough of a Trekkie to know.

One of the youtube comments says he did it for Gene Roddenberry's birthday.

It's on the season 5 DVD, along with a full-length tribute to Roddenberry.

That was the most utterly spectacular un-racist tirade of unaccompanied melodizing I've seen and heard since Ted-the-Lawyer-from-Scrubs' acapella group. Who knew Captain P was such a singabalizing character? My only request is: will someone with a backyard symphony please record some swooping accompaniment for this?

Nice try, trinarian. But no one will rise to such transparent bait. There's no way I'm going to even consider such a hypothetical "fight" scenario, uh uh.
Before Season 3's Adama fell from the sky onto New Caprica I'd have said Picard, no question. But now? Very tough call.

I had seen this, but had assumed it was some holodeck mishap or alternate universe like everything else on the show. Odd.

Clearly the captain's body has been taken over by an alien intruder. Shields up, go to red alert.

oh, rock. I can't wait to see this, when I'm not at work.
Damn, that's tough. Tigh would come up from behind and stab Picard in the back, making it all moot.

I think Adama would fight dirty. Maybe if they were fighting on Babylon 5, and... blah.. blah... blah...

That was so ridiculously cool. Picard got a maneuver named after him, so should Adama. And it should be that.

Uh, what? You mean you haven't been calling it The Adama Maneuver? Where have you been, man? It's been The Adama Maneuver since about thirty seconds after I and everyone else got done crapping their pants over how psychotically awesome a move that was.
I can't say who'd win in a fight, but The Adama Maneuver is in all ways superior to The Picard Maneuver.

Silly people; Adama wins because not only can he take a punch better, a drunken Tigh would sneak up behind Picard, slit his throat, then disappear leaving only the smell of alcohol.

I cannot decide whether we should be apologizing to four panels for the Adama Maneuver derail. If so, I apologize for my part. If not, ADAMA 4EVAR!

THANK YOU! Thank you! Christ, it's all on Tigh, is what I'm saying.
(I would apologize for the derail too, but even this to-the-core Picard girl has gone over to the Adama side.)

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Star Trek producers should make it part of the actor's contract that they must retire post Star Trek, or at the very least only star in sci-fi roles.
This would prevent the image of future captains being completely destroyed by the actor doing game shows and horrible bran commercials later on.
(And will someone please tell Bill Shatner that his new nickname, "The Shat" is past tense for sh*t?)

William Shatner was a douchebag when he was *on* Star Trek -- it has nothing to do with what he did afterward.
Patrick Stewart is so cool that you could replace him in all of Shatner's poorly-conceived roles and appearances, and Stewart would actually make them good. And that's no small feat.
I am still torn over whether Picard or Xavier is a cooler role for Stewart.

Patrick Stewart was great in Jeffrey (post-Next Generation series, pre-Next Generation movies).

2. The one episode I miss, and it's got The Adama maneuver. *sigh*
3. I love me some Picard, but Adama wins. Sorry, Captain.
