Remember Dice Wars? Remember how everyone wanted it to be multiplayer? Well, Ryan Dewsbury, creator of gpokr, has loosed kdice on the world. Your gpokr login works for kdice, too. (via jayisgames)

Can't get a game right now... but if it works half as well as Dicewars I fear for my free time.

It's really pretty good. The main difference I see is that it doesn't require your pieces to be connected to get the benefit of them.

Wow. That was almost as fun as like, Yahtzee. Or, like, counting hair follicles on my hamster. And almost as pointless. But not quite.

And in other news, Yachtzee has still sold more units than ChasUK. ChasUS, however, remains a bestseller.

I know there's currently a jihad against the whole "different strokes for different folks" thing, but do try to be more constructive next time.

Now all they gotta do is move to an offshore server, add cash wagering and they're set.

You know, Eideteker, you shouldn't leap to conclusions like that. ChasUK could be very successful at selling his unit for all you know.

Erm, I was the different stroke. That's why I expressed the dissenting opinion. Because my opinion was different.

To elaborate (which nobody else did, so it seems a hypocritical requirement to thrust upon me), I hate all games requiring no skill (especially those that depend entirely on the roll of the die). They seem, to me, utterly pointless. I'd rather do almost anything else, in contrast to the fans here.

Is that constructive enough?

Yes, thanks! There's a good deal of "who goes first" that goes into the game, but it can be overcome (the one game I did win was one where I went next to last). There's a decent amount of strategy that goes into the midgame and some of the endgame, but the start can indeed be a clusterfuck.

Kept stalling out on me, sitting me out of the game. Also, when it was my turn, the previous player's new pieces were being added to the board, during which I could not play my turn — again, forceably sitting me out of the game.

Works for me and is darn good. Much more fun than the single player version where the AI is too predictable. Will see me through a night of Ashes listening.

There are really better ways to say "this doesn't interest me" than bashing it, though.
