"Dear Tokyo, why don't you have a building like this yet?" There are a lot of other ideas found on Ironic Sans.
The Geneva Con 1949 t-shirt gave me a good laugh.
I've come to terms with my being a bad person already.

The addresses will be something along the lines of "Dr. Hideo Suzuki, Togawa Medical, Suite 100, Lower Digestive Tract, Minato-ku, Tokyo 108-8611 Japan"

Hey, this is seriously one of the funniest blogs I've read in a long time. It's got all sorts of great linkable posts. Thanks!

London has a building shaped like a pickle. It's known there as the "Gherkin".
[Meanwhile, there's going to be a second Tokyo Tower. Current schedule is for completion in 2011.)

I think its a cool idea. A little wacky and funky but that's Japan for ya. It should shoot huge plumes of flame though.

Great idea. That way when Godzilla really does begin a rampage over Tokyo, he'll see this building and be utterly confused.

Technically speaking, that would be the Mechagodzilla building.

Speaking of which, is anyone going to Balabananza this year? I would go, except I already got a booth at the Wallace Shawnathon.

There should definitely be a Godzilla Building in Tokyo, since there's already one of his giant golden turds located here.

Here is a nice example of how Tokyo has already embraced 'representational' architecture: The Giant Golden Radish [or what you will]

The comments on that site, however, are a little cringe-inducing.

I love the idea of a life-size Godzilla building towering over Tokyo, but one practical detail gives me pause. Have you looked at Tokyo Tower recently? Have you noticed how this otherwise Eiffel-Tower-like structure is painted in garish orange and white stripes? This is because of a Japanese law which states that all structures over a certain height must be painted with these orange and white stripes for aircraft visibility. Now imagine the Godzilla Building after being forced to comply with these regulations.

My fear is that Godzilla would try to mate with the building.
