The possible finding of King Herod's burial tomb.... Mentioned in the bible as the king who ordered the killing of children, archaeologics may have found the tomb of King Herod. Wether you believe this part of his life or not, it is still an interesting find...and will give us more knoweldge into this part of history.
King Herod was one person who you would not want to cross, or get on the bad side of. With all of the cruel acts he did, is it possible that he did ordered the killing of children under the age of 2?

You can't be serious. Any tyrant worthy of the name wouldn't give it a second thought.

I can't keep all the Herods straight.
Is this the one who died in 4BC and had all the children killed in 1AD?

Just to make this post a little more interesting:
King Herod
Herod the Great
What disease killed him?
A book by the archaeologist that found it (Ehud Netzer)
He also gives lectures and interviews.

Argh. I am usually not one to complain about posts, since I figure I should be producing good ones myself if so, but I also don't put one link newsfilter into the blue.
Interesting find for sure -- exciting -- but it IS news on every source I've seen today.
