Andy Abraham will represent UK in Eurovision 2008 (song contest without an analogue in USA) with his song 'Even If'. He's a good singer but the song is just awfull.
This post was deleted for the following reason: It's kind of fun how the whois info for that "unofficial eurovision site" you built this perfunctory-ass post around matches whois info on other websites you run. And by "fun" I mean "bannable". -- cortex
Hard to say who's trying least, Ireland or Spain...
Still, both are better than the UK's singing binman.

That UK entry is mainly ruined in that clip by the monotone backup singer being far too far up in the mix, removing any sense of melody or harmonic development - particularly during the chorus.
The Eurovision Song Contest is (and probably always has been) a parody of itself. We watch it to laugh at the acts, to hiss at the juvenile geopolitical bias in the voting and, at the end of the day to revel in its campness.
Now, just don't get me started on how Israel is in Europe (for both the song contest, and the football competitions)...
