Metric Time... it's 95.5 do you know where your children are? (Check out the whole site; it's a wonderful melange of crazy and not so crazy ideas.)
They are too in love with their foolish tens. We need BINARY time.

After having this site crash two different browsers and rendering the page in IE so that I had to scroll horizontally to read it, I gave up.
In those brief moments I could not determine if the site was parody or not. The arguments are like sieves though. If you actually have an interest in how we track time, a must read is the Discoverers> by Boorstin.
I did at least nab this from the site: "Since any system for measuring time is arbitrary, we should be using one that is most practical for us."
That's so cute.

Towards the bottom of the page, after an extensive explanation and demonstration, "See how easy Metric Time is!"
Uh..no. No I don't. However, all this sounds painfully familiar...

I tried New Earth Time, which for me is the most aesthetically pleasing of alternate time systems, but it didn't sink into my head. Their master plan, which includes some comments on Swatch's system, is interesting to read.

About as likely to take off as people using radians rather than degrees for everyday angle measurement.

I've often heard proposals for a "metric time", but the "New Earth Time" that southisup linked to is a new one by me. Now that's a cool idea.
