Neil Gaiman's The Price

Kickstarter.Com Christopher Salmon, a Canadian animator, is trying to turn Neil Gaiman's short story The Price into an animated film. To do this, he's asking help from fans and fellow artists on Kickstarter.

I came across this project because Neil Gaiman linked to it on his blog, for obvious reasons. The site itself seems like a really great place for artists to fund their projects in general, but this specific project really spurred my interest because it's so big. I've browsed the site a bit, and most of the projects are much smaller. (It'll be someone needing money to record and master an album, for instance.) This project is historic on Kickstarter because the target goal is so huge. With half the funding achieved and only 8 days to go, it's in no way certain that he'll reach it, but if he does he'll have made Internet history in the process.
