Birth or Not

Pete and Alisha need your help on a sensitive topic: "You can vote and choose whether we abort or keep our unborn child. For the first time, your vote on the topic of abortion can make a difference.
Wouldn’t it be nice to voice your opinion and have it actually make a difference in the real world? Why not vote on whether to continue or abort an actual pregnancy? Your vote can help a real couple to make a decision on this issue."

I'm pretty sure this is not how "pro-choice" is supposed to work.

Apparently, Bristol Palin is getting head-of-state level security for her next appearance on Dancing With The Stars.
I'm not sure why I remembered that after reading this post just now. But it feels connected somehow.

Seems to be some evidence that this is a hoax.

Seriously? Is this fake bit of fakeness really worth publicizing?

Pro-life stunters. The outcome will be either:
"Oh! The majority voted for us not to abort. You have convinced us that life is sacred after all!"
or
"Gosh. The majority said to have the abortion, but we've had a sudden revelation that life is sacred, so we aren't going to abort. Sorry!"
Win-win for them.

Crowdsourcing would seem to be the opposite of Planned Parenthood.

And I don't mean to threadjack or -shit with my previous comment: It's an honest question. Is "having a conversation" about fakey fakey trollery like this worth the price of giving assholes like this free publicity?

The site shares the same Google Analytic account tags as the Church of Global Warming.

Let's pretend for a moment that this is 100% real...I think a lot of people who would otherwise vote for have-the-baby (seems to be a stable relationship between two people with stable jobs and a support system) might vote for abort, because what kind of sane person would actually leave this decision up to random internet folks? No kind of sane person. And definitely not the kind of person who should be in charge of a human life. This is so ridiculous.

Actually what's happening is that a majority of users vote for abortion so they claim vote fraud since there's no way that the majority disagrees with them.
It's a lot like real life.

Wow. The medium is the message, and this is foul. Asserting the validity of using public input on this decision frames it in an inherently anti-choice/"pro-life" POV.
Pro-choice != pro-abortion.
I remember back when my home state was known for Paul Wellstone, not Michele Bachman and trolly crap like this.
