The Exotica Project

The Exotica Project. One Hundred 45s, presented here to say simply that "Les Baxter, Martin Denny, Arthur Lyman and Yma Sumac are only the tip of exotica." Organized helpfully into several categories, including Polynesian/Pacific Theme and Maritime/Castaway Theme and even Wordless Vocals. Compiled by the keeper of Office Naps.
That's a great find.
Off to find rum. Who used the last of the coconut syrup? I want my Mai Tai. I swear if we are out of Blue Curacao around I will lose my shit.

Who used the last of the Coconut syrup? Would'nt you know it, that i'm one of the 6 million persons (in U.S.A.) that are allergic to Coconut, my body treats Coconut as a deadly toxic substance. Anyone in my shoes hates any product containing any amount of Coconut. Almond Joy anyone?

I couldn't find a free component that would play all the links in a page or something.
But you can see the files and I guess it's not that hard to script some wgets.

Clicking through these, I'm finding a ratio of about one delight per three horrors. This is just a ton of fun.

Some highly interesting music from the Day that rarely, if ever, gets heard. Nice to see some jazz cats represented too (Yusef Lateef, Victor Feldman). This is truly a "find" in the best sense. Thanks for a most wonderful post, grabbingsand!
